Prenatal Care- includes an extensive intake, hour-long visits every month until 28 weeks, visits every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, and then weekly until birth. I will be available by phone for support during business hours (M-F, 9-5) and at any hour for urgent questions. Your partner, older children, or any other support people are welcome during prenatal visits. They can be apart of your care as much or as little as you’re comfortable with. Prenatal care includes holding space for the physical, emotional, and spiritual changes that come with stepping into parenthood as well as ample education during each part of the process. All visits will take place in my office except for the 36 week appointment, which takes place in your home.

Labor and Birth Support- I will be on-call for your birth starting at 37 weeks. We will be in close communication throughout early labor, providing support from over the phone. I will arrive in your home when active labor begins (or earlier if needed) and be present through all the waves that follow, monitoring mother and baby’s vitals, providing emotional support, and supporting physiological labor and birth. I will also have a trained assistant (likely another midwife in the community) who will be present to chart, take pictures, clean up, and assist with any complications that may arise.

Immediate Postpartum- Your midwives will stay for a few hours postpartum until bleeding is controlled and all vitals are stable, breastfeeding has been initiated, everyone’s been fed, newborn exam has been performed, the space is tidied up, and the family is all tucked into bed.

Postpartum- I will come to your house on day 1 and 3 to support breastfeeding, infant care, physical and emotional changes, and any other questions that arise. Then we’ll see each other again at week 4 and 6 to ensure you and your new baby are doing well. I’ll be available by phone until 6 weeks postpartum.

  • Investment

    Midwifery Care Package: $6000

    Midwifery care is an ongoing relationship that unfolds over the course of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. My fee reflects not only the time spent in visits and at your birth, but also the continuity of care, on-call availability, and the depth of support offered throughout this experience.

  • The following are not included in my fee-

    • labs (often covered by insurance)

    • ultrasound (often covered by insurance)

    • Birth Certificate (paid to the state) - $25

    • Newborn Screening (paid to the state) - $111

    • Home Birth kit ≈ $55

    • Travel Fee for outside of La Plata County - $200

  • I offer a small number of partial scholarships for families who would not otherwise be able to access care. Please reach out for more info.

  • Payment plans are available, and I’m happy to discuss what feels accessible for your family.

  • Midwifery has always been rooted in community. For those who feel resourced to do so, there is an option to contribute beyond the standard fee in support of scholarship care.

    These contributions directly help make midwifery accessible to families with financial need, creating a shared system of support. If you would like to make a donation to Motherfolk Midwifery, please reach out. All money will be used explicitly to subsidize care.

Well Woman Care

This is for women looking for an herbal consultation, basic lab work, and/or STI testing or PAP smears. These visits typically last from 1-2 hours and costs $150 which does not include the price of labs (Medicaid covers most basic lab work). Each visit includes a customized herbal good (tea, tincture, salve, sitz bath herbs, etc).


A note about PAP’s- I am passionate about offering gentle PAP smears. They can be a beautiful opportunity to connect with your yoni. You will also have the opportunity to take your speculum home and use it for cervical self-discovery.

If price is a barrier for you, please still reach out. I trust we can come to a solution, which might include a trade of goods or services.

Herbal Goods

All herbs are either wild-harvested or Organic and thoughtfully sourced. Most options listed can be either tea (or sitz bath) or tincture (made with organic alcohol), though some plants prefer one preparation over the other. I do have a base recipe for each option, but I prefer to customize each blend as everyone’s body is different.

Whatever you purchase will include a short consult (except salves).
