My name is Johanna Joy.

I was called by things deep and mysterious to become a doula and midwife. My training and apprenticeships with powerful women inform how I provide attentive care for the whole of you… honoring the physical, the emotional, and the spiritual power of your life-making body.

Birth Happens

This energy-blurred image is among the most powerful photos I’ve ever been a part of. Just moments before, this mother wondered aloud if she was doing something wrong. Then, suddenly, her water bag broke and both parents reached out, catching their baby together.

Every birth is its own story, each one bringing us closer to life, to instinct, to truth, and when we welcome it… to all things divine.
